The Parish Church saw a succession of rectors from the Belcher family who ministered there from 1775 to 1895 and are commemorated in the east window.
Annual Scarecrow and music festivals each summer see the village transformed by new residents in the form of famous and funny scarecrows while all tastes are catered for including jazz, folk, rock, rhythm and blues and brass big band.
