See the Ferrers Centre and Ferrers Gallery at Staunton Harold or Sable Studio and Sliksilver Jewellery workshops at Moira Furnace Craft Centre, The Tarpey Gallery at Castle Donington for Contemporary Fine Art or visit the Breedon Priory Garden Centre and Shopping Complex and see what the different shops and workshops have on offer.

Ashby Arts Festival is held May/June with lots of things to see and do for the whole family

              

Sign up for tuition at the sewing school in Ashby. There are cake decorating courses at Sugar and Ice in Coalville, jewellery making sessions and pottery classes at Thringstone Community Centre.  Monks Den Crafts in Ashby are an aladdins cave for card makers and scrapbookers, selling craft products from all the top suppliers, they also hold workshops for card making and scrapbooking crops.

Woodland Crafts

The diverse courses taught at Greenwood days vary from Windsor Chair making, to Coracle making. Pole-Lathe Turning to Hedge Laying.

Set in an idyllic 100 acre woodland offering courses for all levels of experience. Skilled professionals teach in a large woodland shelter under the trees.

 

 

At The Gardener's Bothy,at Staunton Harold in addition to the shop displays, they celebrate the seasons, host exhibitions by local crafts folk and hold occasional courses in rural crafts run by the experts in skills such as willow-weaving, coppicing or carving and we celebrate the seasons with exhibitions by local craftsfolk from woodturners to tile-makers and rustic furniture bodgers.

Exhibitions regularly display not only local talent but also a high standard of work by artists and designers of a national standard. Come and experience our Arts Festival, flower festivals and quirky village events which make us the cultural corner of Leicestershire.
