May -Moira Canal Festival - A whole weekend of boating fun and entertainment for all.

May - Off The Tracks Festival Two Stages of great live music, 45 Real Ales, Acoustic Sessions, Over 30 artists over 3 days.

Boat trips - The Ashby Canal at Moira Furnace, near Ashby de la Zouch is a beautiful and tranquil location. The Narrow Boat trips on the Sir Joseph Wilks give you a little taste of its' history. Check times and pre book, telephone 07976 637858 

Summer

May/June Ashby Arts Festival - Celebrates art, drama, songwriting, writing and crafts in Ashby de la Zouch and the surrounding areas. The giant outdoor art exhibition makes this festival unique and the largest outdoor art gallery in the area.

June - Download Festival Annual music festival at Donington Park

July- Ashby Show   Annual Agricultural Show At Heather, entertainment for all the family

July - Sir John Moore School Open Air Music and Fireworks. Bring your some chairs, a picnic and enjoy.

July - National Forest Folk Festival At Moira Friday through to Sunday

July - August- Donington le Heath Manor House Enjoy one of the open air performances of Shakespeare or the like at Donington le Heath Manor House near Coalville.

August - Moira Furnace Folk Festival A whole weekend of folk music and entertainment.

September - Heritage Open Days - looking behind the scenes at local venues.

September - Miners Gala at Snibston

September - Ashby Statutes Fair – the traffic in Market Street is replaced with an ancient charter fair with Dodgems, waltzes, hook a duck stalls and roundabouts providing thrills for all the family.

September - Off The Tracks Festival

October - Apple day at Donington le Heath Manor House, near Coalville. Ghost walks and talks that will surprise you. Halloween Events are listed on our What's On web site
